2018 – 2019 The school will received £6,000 in primary PE and sports premium funding.
2017 – 2018 The school received £5,000 in primary PE and sports premium funding.
2016 – 2017 The school received £2,500 in PE and sports premium funding.
The funding has been used to employ a peripatetic sports instructor and renew the school’s sports equipment. This has enabled pupils to increase their participation in sport, and consequently their attainment.
A group of pupils in Primary/Middle increased their active participation in sessions over the course of the sport programme. 100% of young people were taking part in the activities by the last session, which was an increase of at least 20 % from the beginning.
Pupils learnt new football skills such as : passing with the side of their feet and tackling, heading, trapping and throwing the ball. The culmination of the extra PE input was that every pupil participated in Sports Day.
The school continues to employ a peripatetic sports instructor.
